ABOUT KAZUM:

Kazüm is Portland's own high-flying acrobatic spectacle. Kazüm has established themselves as an integral part of Portland's art community, and continues define the role of the the local circus experience. In 2007, Kazüm director Ulrikka Haveron brought her dream of creating a tightly choreographed team of acrobatics alive. First, she found a handful of willing acrobats and choreographed a few routines. Shortly thereafter, the Portland band the Heroes and Villains invited her newly formed troupe to perform at a circus event at Dante’s in downtown Portland. The troupe was an overnight success and Kazüm has since been invited to perform at hundreds of events, including at the Oregon Country Fair, with the Wanderlust Circus and March Fourth Marching Band and alongside popular bands like the Beastie Boys, Primus and the String Cheese Incident. Kazüm combines elements of partner acrobatics, cheerleading stunts and adagio to create an unforgettable performance.
