The Holidays in Old Town

Illuminate Sherwood

Making spirits bright is the mission this holiday season. The City of Sherwood has partnered with ShowCall Event Services to bring a magical, socially-distant experience for Sherwood families of all ages to enjoy. Using innovative lighting & technology at Cannery Square, this installation is sure to illuminate our community.

As you drive into Old Town Sherwood, you may also notice the spread of holiday cheer along the streets, thanks to our fantastic Public Works crew. The trees in Old Town are decked with twice as many lights as usual, and additional light displays can be found at Veterans Park, the roundabout near the library and at the Sherwood Center for the Arts. Head into Old Town and enjoy the festive lights this winter season. The lights display will continue into the month of January. Illuminate Sherwood is made possible by the WA County Community Psyche grant.

Tree Lighting

The Robin Hood Festival Association will be lighting the tree this Friday, December 4th with a small group of people including the Mayor, the Maid Marian Court and Santa. They also hope to have the Mixoloydians come in after the lighting and perform a few songs. The event will be filmed and shared on social media for the community to enjoy.

Can Food Drive

Robin Hood Festival Association is hosting a canned food drive on Saturday, December 5th from 12-2pm at Cannery Square.

Santa's Christmas Cottage

While in-person Christmas experiences may look a lot different this year, it can still be just as magical. The traditional community day at Christmas Cottage in Old Town Sherwood will instead be a "month long outdoor experience!" So whenever you'd like to visit, come experience Santa's front porch and make happy holiday memories! Follow our new Facebook group page created this year as we reveal all the fun in store... don't forget to bring your camera and your letter to Santa, it's gonna be fun galore!  Santa's Christmas Cottage can be found at Gardner Team Real Estate office at 16227 SW 1st Street.
