Hours: Mon - Fri, 10am-6pm
Fiber Art and Sewing classes are designed for beginners and those wishing to improve basic sewing skills. Students will be introduced to hand stitching and machine stitching. Class size is small to increase individual attention from the instructor.
Note: Students are encouraged to bring a portable machine if one is available to them. Those without machines will share the instructor's machines.
Kids Sewing: PJ Pants
5 weeks | 9-13 years
Try your hand at fashion design and make your own COMFY PAJAMAS! Students will use simple patterns to make this wearable project. Projects will introduce both hand sewing and machine stitching. Students will learn to cut fabric, use a needle and thread, pins, and an iron. They will explore embroidery stitches and learn the basics of using a sewing machine. Students may also add embellishments to customize their work. Class can be taken repeatedly to explore new projects and build sewing skills.
Students will need to bring their supplies to the first class. A list of materials will be emailed after enrollment.
