CLASS REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, DECEMBER 1.

 

Fiber Art and Sewing classes are designed for beginners and those wishing to improve basic sewing skills. Students will be introduced to hand stitching and use of a sewing machine. Class size is small to increase individual attention from the instructor.

Note: Students are encouraged to bring a portable machine if one is available to them. Those without machines will share the instructors.

Fiber Arts: Sew a tote bag or purse
4 weeks | 9-13 years 
Express your personality with customized bag. Choose the project that suits you and make it your own. Projects will introduce both hand sewing and machine stitching. Students will learn to cut fabric, use a needle and thread, pins and an iron. They will try a variety of embroidery stitches and learn the basics of using of a sewing machine. 

Please have students bring their supplies to the first class. A list of materials will be emailed after enrollment.

Fiber Arts: Sew a Softie/Pillow 
4 weeks | 9-13 years

Create your own softie/pillow. Choose from several designs including cute critters and silly monsters. Projects will introduce both hand sewing and machine stitching. Students will learn to cut fabric, use a needle and thread, pins and an iron. They will try a variety of embroidery stitches and learn the basics of using of a sewing machine. Students may also embellish their projects with buttons, beads, appliqué or trim. 

Please have students bring their supplies to the first class. A list of materials will be emailed after enrollment.
