Across Bengal and beyond, Basonto has long symbolized renewal, joy, and creative awakening. It is a season when poetry finds its voice, music dances freely, and hearts open to the promise of light and warmth. Basonto Boron, meaning “welcoming spring,” is not merely a change of season, but a celebration of life itself.
