Creative Kids Mixed Media | 4 weeks | 6 - 14 years
Give wings to your imagination and explore the palette of winter colors using a variety of mediums including collage, watercolor, acrylic, pen, marker, tissue paper, pastels and more! Students will enjoy discovering new and creative ways to make art and apply new techniques with various mediums and tools on paper. Some projects include paper weaving, watercolor resist art, colorful collages and printmaking.

Art Lab | 4 weeks | 11-16 years
A chill, informal space for teen artists to experiment, create, and generate new ideas. We will provide a variety of media/tools/supplies to explore and create with, and you are welcome to bring your favorite tools along if you would like. Try out our prompts, projects, and games; play with techniques; explore your own ideas. Come on your own or bring a friend or two. You will find like-minded folks, loads of encouragement, and inspiration to grow your art skills.

Does your child love to invent, tinker, and build? Each class offers a new challenge for them to explore and different problems for them to solve. We provide guidance, low-tech creative materials along with time and encouragement to experiment, test, and revise. Perfect for Sherwood “Early Release” days.

Enjoy a night of low-key, relaxation and making; a bit of time for yourself away from daily demands. Each month brings a new seasonal project for you to create and brighten your home. Bring a friend, have a cup of tea and recharge!

Endangered Animals 
Join us for a four week art class featuring endangered species from around the world! We will travel to the South American jungles in search of the blue throated-macaw, hike the volcanic mountains of Central Africa to find mountain gorillas, visit the border of Russia and China to discover Amur leopards, and swim the coral reef to unearth the hawksbill sea turtle. Only a few of these animals are left on our planet at the moment, so let’s celebrate them now with paint and canvas!
