Recycled Robots | 7 - 13 years
Inspiration for inventors abounds as we create robots using cardboard boxes and other ordinary items. We will be up-cycling, painting, creating robots with a variety of media and exploring simple circuits. The week concludes with designing and racing simple battery powered ‘bots. Before cities and sidewalks were built across the western United States, the land was wild and full of nature all around! As Pioneers were embarking across the plains and mountains in wagons, learning survival of living off the land, the indigenous people had for years embraced the nature around them, partnering with it for daily living. Wild Horses, Buffalo, Eagle and Grizzly bear all played significant roles in the way of life here in the West. Join us as we hear tales and paint beautiful pieces celebrating these important animals to the West. Please bring the $20 supply fee to the instructor on the first day of camp (cash, check or venmo).

Cardboard Castles | 7 - 13 years
Create a medieval realm filled with knights, princesses, fire breathing dragons and the occasional unicorn. Build a fanciful cardboard castle, hang colorful banners and create shrinky dink inhabitants. Engineer a drawbridge and design a catapult to defend the keep. An enchanting world awaits.

Explore the wonderful world of art using various mediums, including collage, watercolor, acrylic, pen, marker, tissue paper, pastels and more! Students will have fun discovering new and creative ways to make art and apply new techniques with various mediums and tools on paper. Some projects include paper weaving, watercolor resist art, colorful collages and printmaking.

Pirates and Mermaids | 7 - 13 years
Ahoy mateys, delve into an adventure where pirates plunder the seas as mermaids delve into the deep and bask in hidden coves. We’ll be building pirate ships, and designing seaside sanctuaries, using paper mache and paint. We’ll draw inspiration from inhabitants of the sea.

Painting: America the Beautiful: National Parks | 6 - 13 years
Let's take a road trip with our paint brushes through some of the iconic national parks! First stop: Grand Canyon with its deep red and yellow oxide cliffs! Then, we will hop over to Yellowstone, a sanctuary and haven for many rare animals that once inhabited much of America. Just up the road is Glacier, a majestic park full of trails to travel with breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. A quick flight to Niagara Falls, we will find one of the most incredible waterfalls of the world, and finally, we will get a little tropical adventure in the Everglades! Please bring the $20 supply fee to the instructor on the first day of camp (cash, check or venmo).
