ART 2017 Student Show Opening Reception

The Sherwood Center for the Arts will be proudly hosting the Second Annual Sherwood Student Art Show this coming spring. The ART 2017 Student Show will feature works from a wide variety of students who create art in Sherwood. Art for this show includes student art from Laurel Ridge Middle School, Sherwood Charter School, Blue Plume, Mosaic Arts Loft and D. K. Boljat Inc. Student’s ages range from 1st Grade to Adults. The student show will run from April 6th thru May 5th. The gallery opening reception will occur on Thursday, April 13 from 5 – 8 p.m., and is free and open to the public. See art created here in Sherwood. Meet the artists, curators, other art lovers and enjoy live music by Josephine Relli from Isley Blue's Art School. This is sure to be a fantastic evening with a great chance to enjoy some wonderful artwork!

For the ART 2017 Student Show, the curatorial team from Makers 5 Artists Collaborative encouraged local Instructors to share their students work with the Sherwood community. Makers 5 is a group of artists in Oregon with a mission to locate and provide venues that enable artists to share their works with the public.
