JUNE DIGITAL ARTS & SCIENCE CAMPS

Mad Science – Scene of the Crime! |  6 – 13 yrs
Blood spatter and brain matter, oh my! Not for the weak-hearted, this camp will let your scientist's inner CSI scream! Enter the crime scene and see if your team can solve the crime by observing, interrogating and analyzing the evidence that you collect. Students experience how science is used to collect, analyze and understand what evidence is telling us about a crime scene.

Engineering for Kids - 3D Printing: Minecraft Creations | 7 - 13 yrs
3D printing and Minecraft both represent boundless opportunities for creating even our wildest ideas! Students will explore the basic concepts of 3D printing and computer-aided design (CAD) to bring their Minecraft designs out of the world of Minecraft, learning how to extrude it into a 3D model! Students will learn how to further modify it to be printed in 3D.

Mad Science – Secret Agent Lab | 6 – 13 yrs
Look out 007 - the Mad Science Secret Agent Lab is on the case! Step into the shoes of a spy in action - from decoding messages to metal-detecting and using night vision goggles. Campers will have the opportunity to check out other spy equipment and even create their own edible messages, learning how to communicate stealthily just like real spies.

Engineering for Kids - Electronic Game Design: Racing Games | 7 - 13 yrs
Prepare for some fast-paced fun! We will use the Engineering Design Process to design and create our very own racing game to race our personally designed hydro-crafts, kookie karts, or motocross bikes! Students will use Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then we will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5 to bring our storyboard to life with programming. At the end of camp everyone takes home a working windows-compatible game!

Engineering for Kids - EV3 LEGO Robotics: Robo Battles | 7 - 13 yrs
LEGO EV3 Robotics Program is designed to introduce students to both robot building as well as programming. Students will build robots to accomplish a specific task, using their imagination to make their robot better than a basic tool. Throughout this camp, students will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in various battle challenges!
