Mixed Media: Nature Art Class - Flower Charms
5 weeks | 6 - 12 years
Summer is ending, and harvest is just beginning!  We'll tune into the season and use nature's bounty to make some whimsical critters to hang out with us through the winter. Teacher Amanda, from Soul Seeds Flower Art, will help you create bugs, fairies, and more by sculpting with dried flowers, leaves, and other goodies.  We'll learn about different ways of collecting and preserving nature's art supplies and how to use them for sculpture, collage and other projects.

Mixed Media: Nature Art Class - Autumn Décor

It's Fall, Y'all!  The leaves are changing and the plants are getting ready to rest for the winter.  We'll create a fun collection of fall crafts and decorations with dried botanical goodies from our area.  Teacher Amanda, from Soul Seeds Flower Art, will show you how to design flower charms, centerpieces and framed art to celebrate autumn and upcoming seasonal gatherings.

Mixed Media: Nature Art Class - Shadow Box
4 weeks | 6 - 12 years
Winter is coming!  It's time to be cozy and reflect on the year that's ending and look forward to when nature wakes back up again from its chilly slumber. We'll create a shadow box full of botanical treasures, reflections and intentions.  We'll decorate our boxes inside and out with paint, collage, and of course, FLOWERS!

Whimsical Woodland Creatures
4 weeks | 7 - 12 years
Come and frolic in the woods with these fun and lively woodland creatures. Students will use a variety of materials and styles to create four different woodland creature pictures.  Students will be using different types of paper to create a sly fox, an energetic squirrel, a quiet owl and an adorable hedgehog.  These pictures will jump off the page in 2D!

Magical, Mystical Creatures
4 weeks | 7 - 12 years
Step into a magical, mythical world of fantasy creatures! Students will use a variety of items to create four pieces of collage artwork centered around mystical creatures. Students will be using buttons, found jewelry findings, paper flowers, and more to create a fairy clipboard, a dragon picture, a unicorn picture, and a mermaid journal!  Oh and there will be lots of shimmer and glitter in these projects!

We'll work with a collection of nature's fall colors to build a wreath to celebrate the season!  This project will be great to hang up on the wall, or for use as a centerpiece on your table.  Teacher Amanda, from Soul Seeds Flower Art, will show you how to turn "yard debris" into a functional wreath base. We'll top these off with a variety of dried blooms, leaves and other botanical treasures.

Mixed Media: Nature Art Class - Framed Botanical Art | 8 - Adult
We'll create a framed piece of 3-dimensional artwork with dried flowers, leaves and other botanical goodies from our area.  Nature is sleeping outside, but Teacher Amanda from Soul Seeds Flower Art has lots of color and texture to play with from the past year. Let's tune into what will be blooming again soon!  This piece will be a great gift to give for upcoming holidays.

Santa’s Workshop | 6 - 13 years
Santa’s Workshop is back in business. The tradition returns – with a twist. Parents! Let your kids create while you finish your holiday shopping. This anticipated workshop has become a beloved Sherwood tradition, where kids have the opportunity to create personalized gifts for loved ones. Kids will create, wrap gifts and end the evening with some holiday treats. Register for one or BOTH sessions. Students will create two personalized gifts each night. Act fast, as spots are limited!
