Intro to Wheel Throwing
5 or 6 weeks | 12 - Adult
Wear comfy clothes, get your hands on some clay and give the wheel a spin. Hand craft your own ceramics using a potter’s wheel. Learn to center, open, pull cylinders and shape cylinders into clay pots. Trim each piece to refine the look and add color to your bisqued pots using glaze. This class is designed for absolute beginners and those who want to improve/refresh their basic throwing skills. This class may be taken repeatedly to solidify basic skills. Notification to pick up glazed pieces will be emailed 2-3 weeks after the last class. Students keep their reusable toolkit.

Beyond the Basics of Wheel Throwing
5 weeks | 12 – Adult
Spend additional time behind the wheel, increase the amount of clay on the bat and kick your skills up a notch. Advance your throwing prowess to create larger, and varied forms. Try new tools, alter thrown pieces, add texture, attach a handle or make a lidded form. Explore surface design, underglaze and glaze resists. Demos of new techniques will be tailored to student interest. Sign up for BOTH sessions for a more in-depth experience including additional time to glaze and trim. This class may be taken repeatedly to hone new skills. Notifications to pick up glazed pieces will be emailed 2-3 weeks after the last class. Students bring their toolkit. Additional tools will be demonstrated

Club Mud
6 weeks | 7 - 13 years
Create, play and discover the wonder of working with clay. Students explore hand building techniques as they form bowls, mugs, along with unique critters and sculpture. Students build pieces based on their ideas and/or inspiration from examples and demonstrations. They will add color to their pieces with glaze. No prior experience needed. Class may be taken repeatedly. Notification to pick up glazed ceramics will be emailed 2-3 weeks after the last class.

Families and friends gather to discover the joy of working with clay. Create custom pieces inspired by themes and demonstrations. Child(ren) under 12 must be accompanied by an adult participant.
Family Clay Night: Dragons
2 weeks | 5+ years & ONE Adult/Guardian
Create a mythical beast, be it friendly or fierce. Add wings, horns, tails and spikes to your custom dragon. Simplified and more detailed options will be presented. Design and build the first night and add color using glaze the second. Notifications to pick up glazed work will be emailed 2-3 weeks after class.

Family Clay Night: Holiday Ornaments or Luminary Tree

Family Clay Exploration
3-7 & ONE Adult/Guardian
The focus of this class is on discovery and play. Children explore clay by rolling, pinching, poking, and shaping it. They can stamp objects into the clay, imprint it with lace, use cutters to make shapes or combine parts to form figures or objects. The accompanying adult explores clay alongside the child and offers additional support. Each child will make a keepsake handprint to be glazed by the instructor. ONE adult must be present with each child. Only child(ren) need to register for class. Notification to pick up glazed piece will be emailed 2-3 weeks after class.
