The Sherwood Center for the Arts serves as the centerpiece of the Sherwood Arts & Culture community – a hub for cultural activity, and a resource for local artists, arts organizations and arts patrons to expand the Sherwood cultural experience. The Center also serves as an event center and gathering space for the residents of Sherwood and the surrounding community.

Aside from being a venue for various visiting theater, dance and music performances, the Center for the Arts offers its own education and art enrichment programs, including: the Family Matinee Series, Classic Film Series, Arts Education Classes & Camps and the Gallery Program. All programs and classes are affordable and accessible to all ages and families.

The Family Matinee Series: Educates attendees in diversity in cultures & diversity in medium, high quality, low ticket price! A pirate band, African drumming, Native American folk tales, circus arts, Hip Hop dance, Mexican folk tales, Japanese Taiko drumming…and more! All for a $5 ticket.

Gallery Program: Hosts various exhibits throughout the year. The Gallery features local and regional artists on the walls of the SCA. Recent stats revealed that to date, we have featured over 100 artists and 364 pieces of art on the walls.

Arts Education Program: Covers the arts in various mediums for all ages taught by professional teaching artists. Over 100 classes have been offered since the center opened!

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the arts! We hope to see you soon.
