Mixed Media Fun: Fabulous Flowers
5 weeks | 7- 14 years
Students will explore different techniques of mixed media art using acrylics, collage with different items and more. Each class will center on a mixed media project of a different flower, including 3D heavenly hydrangeas, thriving thistles, delightful daisies and mason jar vases. Students will be able to take home a bouquet of paper flowers for mom at the end of the last class.

Mixed Media Fun: Under the Sea!
5 weeks | 7- 14 years

Students will explore different techniques of mixed media art using acrylics, collage with different items and more. Each class will center on a mixed media project of a different sea creature, including joyful jellyfish, sweet seahorses, sensational sea turtles and a smashing sea star.

Botanical Mixed Media: It's Earth Month!
5 weeks | 6 - Adult

Earth Day is April 22nd, and we'll be celebrating all month!  The sprouts and trees are wide awake now and there are so many flowers to play with. Teacher Amanda will show you how to dry what's blooming so we can look more closely at nature's amazing beauty. You'll even get to make and keep your own drying rack! Each week we'll learn more about what's growing around us and experiment with different ways to use these supplies for ART!  Weekly projects will include things like identification and preservation, flower dangles, and 'yard debris' sculptures made from what we can harvest this time of year.

Botanical Mixed Media: April Showers Brought May Flowers!
5 weeks | 6 - Adult
Peonies, Rhododendrons and Roses, oh my! The blooms are really starting to pile up and we get to make art with them all month!  This is when some serious floral taxidermy kicks in. 

You'll get your very own drying rack and Teacher Amanda will provide a workbook for you to collect your observations, samples, and sketches of the botanicals we can play with during this season.  Each week we'll learn more about what's growing around us and experiment with different ways to use these supplies for ART!  Weekly projects will include things like identification and preservation, Mother's Day creations, and various 'yard debris' sculptures made from what we can harvest this time of year.

Botanical Workshop: Earth Day Sphere Sculpture | 8 - Adult
Each student will receive their own 12 inch moss ball, and we'll cover them with all sorts of botanical treasures!  This piece can be displayed later in a variety of ways.  Whether you set it in a bowl, on pedestal, or hang it from the ceiling so it can move and spin, you'll have a little globe of your own filled with nature's magic.

Botanical Workshop: Yard Debris Wreaths | 8 - Adult
Trust us, the yard debris is gorgeous this time of year!  Teacher Amanda will show you how to make a wreath base out of what's being harvested and cut back in our yards and parks.  We'll top them off with a selection of dried flowers and other goodies. You'll have a start to a really fun piece you can add to for the rest of the summer!

Botanical Workshop: Flag Art | 8 - Adult
Each student will receive a rectangular flag base, and access to a wide variety of flowers to fill their design. Teacher Amanda will bring lots of reds, whites and blues, along with the full spectrum of the big bright nature rainbow we live in!
